In Vasireddy Venkatadri Institute of Technology, Nambur, under the aegis of Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, organized a Technical Project Expo-2K18, in association with Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE), today 17 March 2018.

The Chief Guest Ms.V.D.L.Saranya, IoT Project Manager, Efftronics, Vijaywada, after formally inaugurating the Project Expo, she thoroughly examined all the projects in the exhibition and gave her precious suggestions. She advised all the students to continue the same spirit, zeal and intellect to produce wonderful real time products into the society.

Sri Saranya commended the efforts of all project batches and the support of their faculty for making this a grand success. She also praised the Department of ECE and VVIT for providing the conducive environment to do all research and development of projects at a National Level.

The expo manifested the power of Electronics & Communication Engineering fused with advanced Software Tools, to address the technological bottlenecks in the themes of Smart Cities, Smart Homes, Smart Agro and Smart Industry and Cyber-Physical Systems, etc. The students of ECE of VVIT excelled in the development of creative, socially useful projects which are the need-of-this-hour for making the ease of life for the common man in this rapid changing technological society.

Some salient features in the Project Expo are: Raspberry Pi based Voice Controlled Home Automation System, Vehicle Identification Service in Emergency, Smart Stick for Blind using IVRS, Smart Irrigation System, Smart Monitoring System for Garbage Management, Smart Car Parking System using IoT, Facial Emotion Detection System, Brain Stroke Detection, Smart System for Child Monitoring using IoT, Fruits & Pulses Grading using Image Processing, IoT based Smart Printer, IoT enabled Smart Security System for Home.

 

In this regard Dr.Y.Mallikarjuna Reddy stated that VVIT is conducting this kind of project exhibitions more frequently for tapping the innovative abilities in the students by means of Research and Development of solutions for the real time projects for the society. Dr.Reddy also commended the efforts of faculty of ECE for supporting the students in realizing their dream project ideas with the help of advanced technology.

Dr.K.Giribabu, HoD, ECE, appreciated the students for developing the hi-end projects, which are useful for the society. Prof. Giribabu also stated that their department is always a step ahead in conducting this kind of Technical Events for the benefit of their students and to inspire next batches of students. Management Members, Secretary Sri S.Badari Prasad, Jt.Secretary Sri M.Sree Krishna and Principal Dr.Y.Mallikarjuna Reddy, felicitated the Chief Guest Ms.V.D.L.Saranya, as a token of respect. The Head of the Department of ECE Dr. K.Giribabu, Prof. BSN Reddy, Dr.M.Y.Bhanu Murthy and all faculty members along with their students participated in this Expo.
